Answering the call for more affordable stays and options for solo travellers, Airbnb recently revamped their original offering to make it even easier to search for private rooms on their site. Their new private rooms category features over one million listings from all around the world, and while many are comfortable rooms in some of the most sought after cities, others are incredibly stylish spaces that offer something truly unique. From grandiose bedrooms in historic villas to cheerful beachside bungalows, here we round up some of the prettiest private rooms to rent on Airbnb that we like the look of.
A B&B in Lombardy, Italy
A night’s stay at this Italian B&B involves waking up in a wrought iron bed underneath an ornate stucco ceiling and chandelier. A striking checkerboard floor leads you to your own private bathroom within the romantic 18th century residence. Located in the charming town of Chiavenna, bordering Switzerland and within close proximity to Lake Como, Palazzo Salis has three large rooms available to rent, with the option to add an additional one or two single beds within each room at an additional charge.
